The ingredients needed to prepare Crock Pot Chili :
- Prepare 1-2 of lbs. ground beef.
- Take 2-4 cans of beans (use your favs!).
- You need 1 of onion, thick sliced.
- Provide 2 of peppers, thick sliced (use your favs!).
- Provide of mushrooms, thick sliced.
- You need 1 can of diced tomatoes.
- Get 1 can of tomato- based sauce.
- You need to taste of hot sauce, (optional).
- Get of garlic, several cloves diced.
- Use 2 tbsp of flour.
- Provide 2 tsp of sugar.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of garlic powder.
- Prepare 1 tbsp of cayenne pepper.
- Provide 1 tbsp of cumin.
- Get 4 tsp of chili powder.
- Get 1 tbsp of onion powder.
- Get 1 tsp of basil leaves.
- Prepare to taste of salt and pepper,.
- Use 1-2 tsp of brown sugar.
- Use 1 can of beer of your choice (optional).
Steps to make Crock Pot Chili :
- In small bowl, mix spices (flour, sugar, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, cumin, chili powder, onion powder, basil, salt & pepper, brown sugar. Add / substitute spices as desired - it's your chili after all!
- In pan, brown beef. Add hot sauce and a couple shots of beer as desired. To the beef, not your mouth.
- Chop onion, mushrooms, pepper/s, and any other veggies of choice. Dice garlic. Save for later.
- Drain beans and corn, and hurl them in crock pot. Chuck in sauce and diced tomatoes, too.
- When beef is browned, resist urge to pour it directly down your throat. Drain and fling into crock pot.
- Add oil to pan and sautee veggies for a few minutes. Toss them all into crock pot.
- Lob seasoning mix into crock pot. Feel free to deeply inhale spice aromas first.
- Splash beer into crock pot.
- Cook on medium to high for 4-8 hours.
- Profit.
